Sultan’s Kite

Foodlines and Erickson Sullivan Architects collaborated on the renovation and expansion of a 3,500-square-foot space for Sultan’s Kite in downtown Lincoln, NE. Inspired by the themes of goodwill and acceptance from the novel and movie The Kite Runner, owner Sultan Attaie envisioned a space that embodied warmth and inclusivity. The resulting design features a welcoming and festive atmosphere, brought to life with hand-painted murals and diamond-shaped tiles that reflect the kite motif central to the restaurant’s identity.
