Overview

Foodlines provided design services for the Omaha Nation Food Processing Facility, a project aimed at enhancing local food production and preservation. The facility processes and packages produce grown on seven acres of land, utilizing methods such as canning, freeze-drying, dehydrating, and other food preservation techniques.

The processed food products serve multiple purposes, including use in Omaha Nation’s schools and Career Academy, as well as sales at a local Farmer’s Market, Concession Stand, and future retail locations. To support these operations, the facility requires commercial food processing equipment for each stage of production.

Foodlines’ design services focused on space planning for the food processing areas, developing a preliminary equipment list, and preparing an initial equipment budget to ensure the facility meets its operational and financial goals.
