Overview

Foodlines served as the food service consultant for the new 225-bed Central Nebraska Veterans Home, which opened in 2019. Our design included a state-of-the-art 5,800 SF Dietary Kitchen that serves meals to 18 Household Kitchens, where food is served to residents in a residential-style setting. Additionally, members and guests can dine at The Fox Hole, offering short-order items, daily specials, and concession-type snacks. Located adjacent to the Dietary Kitchen, The Fox Hole benefits from the Dietary cookline, ensuring efficient preparation without duplicating equipment. The facility also features six Neighborhood Kitchens, where meals from the Dietary Kitchen are portioned and delivered to the 18 Household Kitchens. These kitchens were equipped with residential-style appliances to create a comfortable, home-like atmosphere for the residents.
